Every price is built from dated sales of the same card at the same grade, not an index and not an estimate. The comps are shown with the number, so you can disagree with it.
How many exist
Population at grade, and how many graded higher. A card that is one of four in a 10 is a different object from one of four hundred, and the price should say so.
Who the player was
League-leading seasons, Hall of Fame year, postseason record. The reason a card is worth something is usually a career, and the career is in the database.
